I will overwhelm 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua
The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for next month's bout.
Ex two-time world title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the usual face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really proceeding.
